“I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.”
George Bernard Shaw
We each face problems of all scales and sizes, some large, some small, some trivial, and some mission critical. Each day, we face and successfully tackle such problems, but there are some situations which simply get the better of us.
Within our working lives, it’s our repeated efforts at unsuccessfully tackling such problems that takes up 90% of our mental, emotional and physical energy.
We’ve come to call this ‘Pig Wrestling’, … where you find yourself shattered, metaphorically covered in mud, and having gotten nowhere despite your best efforts.
Based on our work with performers from a wide range of backgrounds, we’ve developed a framework to help individuals and teams create the change they need.
We call this framework ‘Problem Cleaning’ (aka, ‘Short-Cycle Coaching’), and we have delivered it to individuals, teams and organisations.
We worked hard to craft these ideas into a short book, a simple fable that teaches the reader the principles behind ‘Problem Cleaning’. We then thought about how we could bring this idea to life, and practically teach individuals and teams the process.
We’re now running a series of 2-day accreditation events, where delegates learn how to apply the framework, helping others to clean the problems that they face. These 2-day workshops are held at our barn in the Peak District on the following dates:
- 6th & 7th February 2019
- 24th & 25th April 2019
- 12th & 13th June 2019
- 4th & 5th September 2019
- 20th & 21st November 2019
Using a combination of interactive sessions and 1-1 problem cleaning coaching, practitioners will leave with a thorough understanding of how to apply the ‘Problem Cleaning’ process in their own context.
Places are strictly limited, so please get in touch if you’d like to discuss becoming an accredited practitioner and reserve your place.
